Belly Casting

At the moment I am not able to take on any belly cast inquiries.

Two of my great loves collide: birth and art!

Every baby belly is completely unique. The same woman will have a different belly shape for each baby, that’s why belly casting is truly a once- in-a-lifetime experience. It is a fun and original way to capture the beautiful individuality of your pregnant form.

The first step in the casting process, the layering of plaster gauze strips, takes about an hour with 20-30 minutes for the plaster to dry, during which time you are treated like a queen! This can be done at your home with your partner or friends, or at my home.

Then, I go back and reinforce the cast, sand it down, make a hook in the back to mount it (if you prefer it not have a hook, that’s fine too), and coat it smooth it so it has a nice finish and can be the perfect canvas. From there, it can be painted, decorated, or left natural as is.
